Hello, my name is Nikki. My husband, Cayman and I moved here 2 years ago to help start Knox Baptist Church. We felt God leading us to serve him and help build his kingdom in Calgary.
Growing up in the church, I always had a desire to obey God but had a shallow understanding of the gospel and of God’s love and mercy. I saw salvation as a golden ticket to get me into heaven, and I did not realize the truth and beauty of justification and sanctification as a gift to dead sinners!
Since being a part of Knox, I have grown in understanding of life and salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone! Through this, the Lord has blessed me with a greater love for him and a more fervent desire to serve him and his people.

I am so grateful for my brothers and sisters at Knox who are faithful to God’s word, are committed to growing in Christ, and are eager to help and serve one another. They remind me to keep pursuing Christ, to prayerfully rely on the power of the Holy Spirit, and to daily die to sin and self. I also thank God for our leaders who teach repentance, do not shy away from hard biblical truths, and consistently model the selfless, prayerful, and obedient Christian life. Through his word and his people, God is gracefully teaching me to be a more holy Christian, wife, and mother.
It is an honour to be able to build God’s kingdom with my friends at Knox, and I pray the Lord will continue to draw people to Himself and to use us in mighty ways for his glory!
