The New Sexual "Morality" and the Hate of the Body

One important thing we need to realize is that the rejection of God leads to sexual immorality, and there is a reason why that is the case.

The apostle Paul teaches us in his letter to the Romans, chapter 1, the following: "Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonouring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever!".

We, human beings, are created in the image and likeness of God. And sometimes, we don't fully understand what that means. We, as a whole, are the image of God, not just our immaterial part (soul, spirit, intellect) but our bodies too.

Once we reject and dishonour God, it'll "naturally" lead to the rejection and dishonouring of what is the clearest expression of God in creation: ourselves.

The Bible teaches us that - for us Christians - we should flee from sexual immorality because it's a sin that is committed against our own body, and our bodies are the temple of God. You need to let that sink in. Your body is more holy than any building, mountain or place on this earth. It's the place in which God is pleased to dwell because of your union with Jesus Christ, and for this reason, we ought to glorify God with our bodies.

While the true Christian walks in the direction of purifying and honouring his own body, the people who reject God will walk in the opposite way; in their hate for God, they will seek to destroy their own bodies and not just their bodies but their own identities as human beings.

The whole LGBTQ ideology is just a step further in the sexual immorality that is already ingrained in all those who reject God. It's a call not just to do what ought not to be done but to take pride in it. It's a call to embrace the destruction of the self and to call self-harm, and the harm of others, love.

Don't be fooled. Love yourself! Love your body! But first, you will need to love God.
