Stories of Grace #7 - Liane Larson

Hi, I’m Liane. My husband Steven and I have been part of Knox from the beginning. The sound theological teaching has made a great impact on our lives. I used to be afraid to share the gospel with people because I thought I didn’t know enough or feared how people might react. But week by week, biblical truths have been spoken into my life. I now find myself more confident in what I believe and eager to step out of my comfort zone to share the gospel with people I meet.

At Knox, we have people who love God, love the church, and love their neighbour as God commands us to. They care, support, and serve one another and thus have become like family to me. The women at Knox have been especially encouraging to me. God has used one particular woman’s bible study to challenge my view of what it means to be a godly woman and given me a deeper appreciation of God’s character. Right from creation, God had a perfectly beautiful and fulfilling design for women when aligned with His will. The lessons I learned are now shaping the way I live my life as I strive to be a godly wife, mother, and woman of the church.

I have also been blessed to see the tremendous spiritual growth Knox has encouraged in my husband, the hunger he has for the word of God, how he shares the gospel with our neighbours, and how well he manages his role as the head of our family.

I am grateful for every single person at Knox in how they use their gifts to live out their daily lives serving and caring for the practical but also spiritual well-being of each other. I look forward to seeing how God continues to work within the people of our church.
