Lucas Cabral - Stories of Grace #9

My wife and I have been living in Alberta for the past three years, and during this time we’ve experienced so many changes and blessings. We were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Sofia and Kiara, and had the privilege of officially joining Knox as members last December.

Looking back, I can only thank God for the way He has shaped me and surrounded me with His people. Over the past year, I have had the joy of preaching and serving alongside the community at Knox. These opportunities have stretched me, humbled me, and reminded me that ministry is always about pointing people to Jesus, not to ourselves.

Milestones have also marked this season: completing my Master of Christian Studies at CBT, walking through the ordination process, and stepping more deeply into serving and leading with an amazing group of Godly men. Each step has been a testimony to God’s grace, and each one has shown me that He equips those He calls.

Through it all, this amazing group of people at Knox has been a living presence of God’s kindness in my life. Their encouragement, friendship, and shared commitment to Christ have been more than I could ask for. I’ve experienced firsthand what it means to be part of a church family that not only loves well but also walks together in faith and mission.

I don’t take any of this for granted. My prayer is that in all these things—preaching, leading, studying, and growing—the name of Jesus will be lifted high.
