Feeble Christian Men and Judgment

There is constant debate over what is healthy masculinity. And many regard the traditional notions as not only outdated but also "toxic" and harmful to society.
There is no doubt that much of what some people believe to be traditional masculinity can be very bad, but we can also be sure that this enfeebled masculinity that "modernity" is proposing is as dangerous as the models being combated.
And if the church has suffered in the hands of self-centred, egomaniacal men, now many churches suffer in the hands of weak men who lack the backbone to stand for the truth and defend their communities and families. Churches and families are suffering at the hands of men who are egoistical and have self-preservation as a priority. People suffer because they are like sheep without a shepherd, but Jesus is looking for and raising faithful men who represent Him in how they lead and serve the people around them.
Jesus is our perfect model of masculinity. He loves through service and self-sacrifice. He is free and always speaks the truth. He is faithful and humble, strong and courageous. He is fearless and bold. He is compassionate; he protects the weak, feeds the hungry, heals the sick and rescues captives. He dies for his bride, the church. He lives for God's glory.
If the Christian man is to be like his master, he should be the noblest of all men, the most loving, brave, free, heroic, and fearless. And this type of Christianity that teaches men to give up their masculinity to be good Christians is foreign to the Bible. Men should not be living asking for permission to be men. Asking for permission to lead, to serve, to protect, and to be the head of their families.
We, men, will one day give an account before God of what we have done of our masculinity. He made us men, and we need to live accordingly. We need to live as men unapologetically. Yes, men and women are equal in value before God, but we are not equal in our roles or our duties, and we will be charged accordingly.
Christian men's first resolve should be to seek sanctification. We ought to strive to be like our master. To put off weakness and put on true strength, the strength of Jesus Christ.
