Hi, my name is Emma Witvoet.
I was raised in a Christian family with two faithful parents who guided me in my faith. As a child, I was curious and eager to understand God’s Word, often asking questions to deepen my knowledge. I read my Bible every morning, prayed, attended church, and experienced God’s protection in personal ways.
However, as I grew older, I drifted from these practices and became lukewarm in my faith. I would call myself a Christian, but deep down, I knew I wasn’t truly living it. While I acknowledged that God was real, I had no intention or desire to follow Him wholeheartedly.
A turning point in my life came when my brother battled for his life and passed away at a young age. His faith and curiosity about God reminded me of my own younger self—the genuine desire to understand and grow in faith that I had lost along the way. His death opened my eyes and softened my heart toward God.
Initially, I struggled with overwhelming guilt over his passing. But over time, I came to trust in God’s sovereign plan and found comfort in knowing my brother is now living in eternal joy with Christ. This experience renewed my desire to know God and return to the faith I had as a child.
God has called me back, and He has blessed me with a renewed path I want to follow. Though I am still learning and regaining what I had lost, I no longer want to merely claim belief in God. I want my actions to reflect my faith as I give my life fully to Him, just as Jesus gave His life for me.
