Hi, my name is Taylor Cuevas. My mom’s name is Gabriela Cuevas. I am 10 years old, and I was born in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico.
My life before Jesus was not very good because I didn’t really know Him. I used to get angry whenever I heard someone say it was bad to be a lesbian, because I didn’t understand why people thought that.
Then I started going to a Christian nursery. At first, I thought the community was a bad idea, but my mom decided I had to go, so I went. After that, I began learning about Jesus, and I started going to church. At the daycare, we also went to church, and I kept learning more and more.
Later, I left Tijuana and moved to Canada. I started going to school and attending a new church, and I kept learning even more about Jesus. As I learned what the Bible teaches, I began to see things differently, including what it says about the LGBT community. My thoughts started to change because of what I was learning in church and from the Bible.
My mom’s friend Juan Penner, and his wife Belem, also taught me many things about Jesus. I learned so much from them, and many things in my life began to change. Now I know that Jesus is our Saviour.
I want to be baptized because I want to follow Jesus with my whole heart. I want to show everyone that I believe in Him, that He changed my life and my LGBT beliefs, and that I want to live the way He teaches. I want to do this because I love Jesus and want to be closer to Him.
